Three different mental health support services are available to all CNU students and include TimelyCare, mental health services provided by private insurance coverage, and CNU’s College of Psychology clinic. TimelyCare, a virtual mental health and well-being platform, offers free counseling services around-the-clock to all CNU students. Students can visit timelycare.com/cnsu for more detailed information. Also, since all CNU students are required to have personal health insurance coverage, mental health services are available through your personal insurance as well. CNU’s College of Psychology also provides a free, confidential, mental health clinic to CNU students. The clinic offers both live and virtual sessions and is located at CNU’s Rancho Cordova campus. Services are provided by PsyD students, under the supervision of a licensed psychologist, and students can receive unlimited counseling sessions. To schedule an appointment, please call 916-378-3581. In addition to the mental health services described, CNU’s Chief Wellness Officer, Dr. John Chuck, a Professor of Family Physician in the College of Medicine, also hosts quarterly wellness seminars open to all CNU students, faculty, and staff.
