Elk Grove, CA—Oct. 28—California Northstate University (CNU) announced that its College of Pharmacy (COP) has been ranked No. 4 in the state in the recently published California State Board of Pharmacy report for passing rates on the latest California Practice Standards and Jurisprudence Examination for Pharmacists (CPJE).
CNU Alumni attained a CPJE License Exam pass rate of 76% slightly below UC San Diego, UC San Francisco and USC. The average of all 13 pharmacy schools is 69.96%, and the range of pass rate is from 81.2% to 42.6%.
“Congratulations to the alumni from Class of 2020,” said Xiaodong Feng, Professor and Dean of the College of Pharmacy. “I want to express my gratitude to the faculty, staff, preceptors, alumni and students for their continued dedication and relentless effort. The entire CNU community is extremely proud of their achievement.”
The results demonstrate the effectiveness of new strategies for curriculum improvement and individual competency assessment. Passing the CPJE is one of the required components to practice as a pharmacist in the State of California.
