About

Prior to this appointment, Dr. Buckley served as Chief Planning Officer at University of the Pacific for four years. From 2006 – 2014 she was Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs at San Francisco State University and Interim Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs and Professor at Sacramento State University for 11 years. She is currently an Emerita Professor at Sacramento State University. Buckley also served as Associate Director of the International Training and Education Center at UC, Davis. She earned her BA in English from University of Georgia; MA in Linguistics from UC, Davis; and MA and PhD in Anthropology from UC, Davis. In addition to her work in academic affairs on strategic planning, accreditation, assessment, curriculum planning, and institutional research, she has worked extensively on teacher training grants with the Fulbright Association, Institute of International Education, Amideast, and USAID in Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. Buckley has been a Commissioner for the Western Association of Schools and Colleges since 2013.
