About

Dr. Jennifer Courtney is an Assistant Professor of Clinical and Administrative Sciences at California Northstate University College of Pharmacy (CNU-COP). She received her Bachelor of Sciences degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of California, Davis, and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from California Northstate University College of Pharmacy. Post-graduation she became the Pharmacist in Charge at a community pharmacy and currently practices pharmacy at an independent community pharmacy. She has served as President to one of the California Pharmacist’s Association (CPhA) local chapters, Sacramento Valley Pharmacist’s Association (SVPhA) in 2018 and continues to serve as a Trustee at Large for the California Pharmacists Association. In 2020, she was the recipient of the CPhA New Practitioner of the Year award which recognizes an outstanding new practitioner who has demonstrated leadership at multiple levels of pharmacy. Also in 2020, she was awarded SVPhA Pharmacist of the Year award. She is also the student advisor for the CPhA/APhA-ASP chapter at CNU and enjoys precepting community outreach events with them. Her primary professional interests include prevention of prescriptions of abuse, naloxone training, immunizations, leadership and pharmacy advocacy.


By partnering with PioneerRx Pharmacy Software, our program allows students to learn in a real-world environment using the most installed software for independent pharmacies. Students enhance their clinical and functional skills by training in a pharmacy system that is innovative, robust, and feature-rich.
