Message from the Dean

California Northstate University College of Pharmacy (CNUCOP) is known for its innovative delivery of pharmacy education across the curriculum in both didactic coursework and experiential education. Our students have represented the College of Pharmacy at local, regional and national pharmacy conferences, receiving numerous awards for their presentations on pharmacy care and clinical skills.

The College of Pharmacy has over 800 Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) graduates serving the public communities in their roles of as community pharmacists, clinical pharmacists, professors in pharmacy and medical schools, independent pharmacy business owners, medical science liaisons with pharmaceutical companies, and top administrators in healthcare systems.

Regardless of the pathway students choose for their future careers, CNUCOP strives to prepare our students for integral roles in the pharmacy field. Our students are trained under an intensive curriculum that focuses on early clinical and disease-state integration and inter-professional education. Some of the top students in the PharmD program will have the opportunity to pursue the new, innovative PharmD-MD pathway, developed jointly with CNU’s College of Medicine. This PharmD-MD pathway is the only one in California, as well as the first on the West Coast.

As one of the founding faculty members of CNUCOP, I strongly believe that all of our faculty, staff, alumni and students will continue the effort in extending the CNUCOP legacy by providing many top-quality interdisciplinary practitioners to reshape the landscape of pharmacy practice and healthcare today.
