PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency

Dr. Kim obtained her PharmD at St. John's University in New York.  Shortly after graduation, she went on to pursue a PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency at VA New York Harbor Hospital in Manhattan.  Near the end of her residency, Dr. Kim was given the opportunity to work as a clinical pharmacist at Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut, where she gained experience in various specialties such as general medicine, cardiology, general surgery, and transplant.  She also served as an adjunct faculty professor for University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy and Yale residency preceptor, which allowed her to regularly teach pharmacy students and residents.  After a rewarding clinical career on the East Coast, Dr. Kim decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue a clinical pharmacist specialist position at St. Francis Medical Center. Her primary focuses here were critical care and infectious disease, where she actively participated in daily medical and surgical ICU rounds as well as antimicrobial stewardship rounds with the infectious disease team.  As an adjunct faculty professor for University of Southern California, Dr. Kim continued to precept pharmacy students at St. Francis Medical Center. Dr. Kim joined CNUCOP in 2017 and hopes to share her passion for clinical pharmacy to students.
